I just have so much ______ with this (fill in the blank with an angry word. It's like a madlibs reply). On one hand, absolutely. I agree with the wife. But I on the other, isn't that their goal: to prevent people from having sex? This is crazy and kind of tinfoil hat of me, but hundreds of years ago, women did have birth control methods (one day I got bored and researched birth control methods during the time of ancient Rome). But as the field of medicine advanced, these methods were replaced or abandoned. (Modern methods are probably more safe and effective.) Has this been a disservice? I feel like all the advancements were made to lure women into a sense of security only to be abandoned.
Once I see rape laws being amended or appealed (re-instating the marital exception, requiring violence and not just threats, requiring corroborating witnesses, etc.) I'll remember, I read it here first.
